Industry Trade Alliance Facilitation
A regional trade alliance engaged Aether to complete its Five Year Business Plan. The alliance serves 130 member organizations in four states and has a 30-person board. Its stakeholders include regulators, state energy offices, environmental groups, other regional associations and others. Aether was engaged to assist with workshop facilitation, Business Plan content, and stakeholder engagement planning.
Aether worked with the board subcommittee and the staff to create the business plan that was presented to the full board and stakeholders. To help drive the process, Aether delivered a Business Plan roadmap, facilitated subcommittee and full board workshops, edited drafts of the Business Plan, and reviewed the stakeholder engagement plan.
Strategic Planning Board Facilitation
An energy trade association wanted to work with its Board to develop a strategic plan for the association. It had been several years since the last strategic plan and the members’ needs were changing as a result of new industry trends and evolving regulation. The objective of the planned Board retreat was to elicit feedback from Board members on what direction the association should take in its long-term strategic plan.
Aether faciliated the planning session with the Board. Aether helped design questions for a survey that went to Board members prior to the session and interviewed executive committee members. Aether developed the planning session agenda and presentation materials. At the meeting Aether guided Board members through a discussion of the strategic issues for the member utilities and the association.
